covid 19 AND ESOPHAGEAL ATRESIA #19

covid

Dear INoEA members, Dear Friends,

We have collected 20 cases of COVID-19 in patients with esophageal atresia (17 in children and 3 in adults) as of March 22, 2021. All have had an uneventful outcome without complications.

You can have access to the detailed data on the INoEA website (www.inoea.org).

The survey is still ongoing. We would like to record all patients with esophageal atresia who have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 by  filling out the following survey https://fr.surveymonkey.com/r/COVID-19andEA or by clicking the link below.

Do not hesitate to spread the word amongst your colleagues.

This study has been authorized by the Ethic Committee of the CHU Sainte-Justine, Université de Montréal, Canada (#2020-2877).

If you are a patient or a parent we ask you to contact your health provider to fill the survey to protect your privacy. The survey is anonymous.
The objective of this survey is to collect cases of COVID19 in children with esophageal atresia in order to:

1
Describe their evolution
2
Describe the risk factors for evolution
3
Report the data collected to members of the network and, if necessary, develop recommendations for this population
