Rare abdominal and thoracic malformations share the need for neonatal surgery, care and hospitalisations as early as the first months of life. A great number of children undergoing treatment will benefit from artificial feeding for a more or less long period of time.

These living conditions make psychomotor and sensory learning essential for the development of oral feeding.

In light of this, the network offers documents in order to better understand oral feeding difficulties and assist patients on a daily basis.  These documents are drafted in partnership with health care professionals, associations and reference centres.

Oral feeding difficulties, an oral feeding booklet to assist you

This booklet is intended for parents; it is composed of 12 sheets, corresponding to the 12 months of the year: one side with an objective for the child, the other side with advice addressed to parents. This booklet is progressive and divided by developmental stages of oral feeding, because each child, regardless of age, does not have the same difficulties, or the same "level."
