According to the World Health Organisation, therapeutic patient education aims to help patients acquire or maintain skills which they need to better manage their life with a chronic disease.
HOW TO IMPLEMENT A TPE PROGRAMME?
If the programme already exists, you must contact the team that designed it as well as the Agence Régionale de Santé (ARS or Regional Health Agency) which validated it in order to request training in coordinating this programme to then be able to implement it.
If you wish to implement a new TPE programme, you must request an authorisation from the ARS of your region:go to the ARS website to see the procedure to follow.
